Why we use them: Sharlene and the whole Circles of Hair team use these on every perm. We’ve tried every rod, every paper and every perm solution, and these are the tools we keep coming back to. We import them ourselves through our own warehouse in Japan. That’s how serious we are about perms, and now we’re sharing them with you.

The Rod Stick sits between the perm band and the wound hair, so the band presses on the stick instead of the hair. No band marks or creases. A firm, compact stick that suits our Regular (Windy) rods and other fine rods on short and medium hair.

How to use

Wind the rod and secure it with a band as normal. Slide a Rod Stick under the band across the rod. Leave it in through processing and remove it with the band when unwinding.

• 60 sticks per pack: 20 each of pink, violet and yellow
• Best for: Regular rods and finer rods, short to medium hair
