Why we use them: This is the same spiral perm set Sharlene and the whole Circles of Hair team use for every perm. We’ve tried every rod, every paper and every perm solution, and these are the ones we keep coming back to. We import them ourselves through our own warehouse in Japan. That’s how serious we are about perms, and now we’re sharing them with you.

Starting spiral perms? This kit has every Long rod size, with extra of the four main sizes so you can do a full head of medium to long hair in any curl. 150 rods in total, plus the long end papers made for them and FSB Sticks to stop band marks.

What’s inside

• 3 boxes each of F-L12, F-L14, F-L16 and F-L18: 30 rods of each main size
• 1 box each of F-L10, F-L20 and F-L22: 10 rods each
• 4 boxes of EVERMATE Kisuki Mesh LL end papers, 500 sheets each
• 1 box of EVERMATE Big Kisuki Mesh 3L end papers, 500 sheets, for very long hair and bigger sections
• 1 pack of NEW EVER FSB Sticks, 50 sticks, to slip under the band and stop band marks
• 1 NEW EVER Three-Hole Applicator Bottle, 180 ml, to coat each rod in one pass
• 1 EVERMATE F-Type Applicator Bottle, 260 ml, with an adjustable nozzle for the nape, hairline and underneath sections

Every box holds 10 rods.

Which sizes go where

• F-L10 and F-L12: tight, defined spirals
• F-L14 and F-L16: classic spiral curls
• F-L18 to F-L22: loose spirals and soft, beachy waves

Each size is also sold on its own for top-ups.

Recommended bands

Standard office rubber bands, size No. 33, 89 x 3 mm, laid across the length of the rod.

Perm solution

We use and recommend REF Stockholm perm solution. In Australia you can buy it through Smiths Collective Brands.
